Depending on your nationality and where you are coming from, you may or may not require a visitor’s visa to enter Greece. In many cases, entry and a visit for up to 90 days are possible with obtaining a visa in advance. To avoid disappointment, find out what applies in your case by consulting the official pages and list of countries as published by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Should your country be listed among those whose nationals require a tourist visa, you will need the following documents to accompany your application:
- Completed and signed visa application form
- Recent photograph
- Letter from your employer (if you are an employee)
- Travel medical insurance
- Proof of provisional booking of travel arrangements (e.g. trip itinerary and round-trip ticket with fixed dates)
- Hotel reservation, with confirmation letter from the hotel manager
Bear in mind that security arrangements may change at short notice, and it is therefore always advisable to contact the local Greek consular office in your country of origin.
